How to build your personal brand at the workplace

In today’s world you need not do hard work but we need to do smart work and being good does not guarantee success and every employee has to build their personal brand at the workplace. It does not mean your physical appearance or image. The term brand is similar to trust, quality and loyalty. However it can also be called as a recall value .How people remember you when you are not in the room, when do they think of you, what are you known for? Your brand specifies your image .if we develop it surely we can create strong brand equity.
The following points can develop your brand
- Knowledgeable
This is one of the best methods to create your brand; you have to be someone who clearly understands the picture and contributes towards building a new strategy .Always be open in learning new things.
Training
Share your knowledge by conducting training programs. As training is learning twice if you are not an expert spend more time in learning
- Networking
Actively participating and network is an fantastic way to prove your talent and help in proving your identity
- Clubs
Become an active member in any club and start contributing. If your organization is engaged in any CSR activities you can participate or else if you have any new idea take the lead and start working on it.
- Incubation centre
Incubation centre acts as an excellent platform for idea generation and creativity. If your
Organization has incubation centers participate and submit the projects and don’t lose
hope if your ideas are not move or not recognized Collect the feedback on where it went
wrong and refine it.
- Mentoring
Participating in mentoring programs provided by your organization to the employees.
As it is also one of the way in showcasing your experience and talents.
Depending on your interest you can pick any one or more areas .Don’t do it for name sake as it won’t add any value and may not build your brand equity. Remember that you have to do things with more passion and interest.
