Revenue growth and the cost reduction can be tied directly to the way the packages and ship the products. Industry packaging materials are processes need to adhere to certain standards of quality and safety. Packaging is extremely important to the business. The machines used to package the products comprise just few of the many moving parts to the packaging process.

The Challenges in packaging system in essential food beverage industry, when customers need the commodity they want to place order quickly and efficiently. The current packaging system comprised a few standard boxes, the warehouse person to select the most suitable sized carton and they had to facilitate the process of producing the shipping boxes. To ensure the customer order in perfect condition the warehouse packaging person would decide on the best way to physically pack the product, which include any fill materials. Initially the automated packaging system calculate the length, height and width of the commodity then the black box uses the information and assign the optimal box. The automated packaging system can then create the suitable and appropriate box based on the black box calculation. The black box works as a dual role as calculator and communicator between ERP system and the automated packaging system. When an order is placed by a customer, the information about the item and quantity is sent to the black box. The systems determine the optimal size and fill material needed for the box, the information is transmitted and automatically box will be created. The box created will have a unique reference number for ensuring the match with the correct sales order.
